Kedar Basnet is a seasoned legal professional with extensive experience in both the legal field and community service. He has held leadership roles in various organizations and contributed significantly to the Nepali communities in both Nepal and Canada over the past two decades. His broad background includes serving as a Board Director for several non-profit community organizations and business corporations, reflecting his strong commitment to social causes.
He holds a master’s degree in Sociology and a bachelor’s degree in law from the Nepal Law Campus, Tribhuvan University, Kathmandu, Nepal. Additionally, Mr. Basnet has pursued further studies, including Peace and Human Rights studies at Oslo University, Norway, in 2001. He has also earned a Diploma in Paralegal Studies from CDI College, Mississauga, and completed several specialized courses such as “Identity-based Conflict and Conflict Management” from the University of Toronto, and “Understanding the Canadian Legal System” and “Advanced Trial Advocacy” from York University, Canada.
